The reason behind Visione's development was simple; we had the expertise, we had the network, we had woolgrowers with sheep that grew Australian Merino wool and importantly, we were all passionate about the quality and performance of this remarkable fibre and wanted to share it with the rest of the world.
The early development of Visione could not have been possible without the assistance of The Australian Merino Society (AMS) who supplied the first batches of raw wool for processing and testing. AMS wool is regarded as genetically different to most other Merino wool, having been developed from a rigorous set of wool selection attributes. Initial processing and testing of AMS wool helped determine what specifications were required to ensure Visione could maintain its fabric integrity.
